Description
- Vitalipid® Adult is a sterile emulsion of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D2, E, and K1).
- Designed for addition to lipid-based parenteral nutrition regimens in adults.
- Ensures adequate provision of essential fat-soluble vitamins for patients unable to meet needs enterally.
Composition (per 10 mL ampoule)
- Retinol palmitate (Vitamin A): 3,500 IU
- Ergocalciferol (Vitamin D2): 220 IU
- DL-alpha-tocopherol (Vitamin E): 11.2 mg
- Phytomenadione (Vitamin K1): 0.2 mg
- Soybean oil, egg lecithin, glycerol, water for injection, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment)
Directions for Use
- Administer only after mixing with a lipid emulsion (e.g., Intralipid® or Smoflipid®).
- Use under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
- Not for direct intravenous injection.
